It’s easy to be cynical
Last night Cory Booker made the longest floor speech in Senate history. Booker spoke for 25 hours and five minutes, that’s nearly an hour longer than Sen. Strom Thurmond who spoke for 24 hour and 18 minutes in 1957.
It’s easy to be cynical and dismissive, but we need our leaders to try! This is not about left versus center this is about try vs cave. I have a theory, which is that keeping democracy safe is a game of inches not feet. Everything matters!
